MF s (mutual funds), one of simplest and the least complex of investment vehicles for indian investors and yet, people try to make their life complicated with unwarranted interventions and decisions.
For over 30 years, this vehicle & industry have created enormous wealth for disciplined, committed & patience driven investors & yet we find many not making onto the other side of the bank.
Why?
People view these as Poppins in different colours or Chocolates to be picked of a different variety every time they think of having one 🤷🏼♂
They wish to pop-in the first one and bite off with their teeth and immediately pop-in the next (so called) better flavour 😂…… rather than enjoying the flavour of the first one.
Oh yes, not all flavours feel good inside our mouth when we have them for the first time, but, Time of the poppin / chocolate inside our mouth makes it better over a longer period😊
But, we don’t want that time filled flavour🙄
Pop one in
Bite if off
Forget that flavour
Pop the next one in
Repeat the process until….the packet is empty & the investor is left with NO Flavour left in the mouth
And then the blame….
MF s are not good
Individual Stock Investing is better
In a recent session while I was addressing a group of young professionals, I read them out a small story from a book – the moral – Smart People don’t make money in the market, Good Tempered people make money
Enjoy the flavours of investing
Don’t just bite the juice away
