Yes for sure, when we microscopically look at just the Outcome
No for sure, when we check the overall landscape or when we sync ourselves with the right philosophy in life.
We as humans love & live on awards, trophies, ranks etc.
We are driven by these forces of cups, shields, certificates, medals etc.
What are they of use?
Nothing for good, in a way
All for them, in another way
Top mutual fund in a category, 5 star rated mutual fund or, the Value research / Morning Star recognised mutual fund…… Does it seriously make a difference to an investor if the fund doesn’t feature in these so called marque list of awardees & topper list?
I don’t think so; for an investor who seriously understands that he or she is investing for covering the future needs or comforts
But it does immensely pain for an investor who thinks that the top fund or the 5 star fund of the last year or two makes a difference to his or her life in the future
The former will surely do better than the latter in the game of Money & life
Btw….all my awards, trophies, medals, certificates, recognitions are neatly packed into a couple of large duffle bags and stored nicely.
Never do I either look at them or check them out.

I hold them with all respect & absolute honour. They were given to me for an achievement or a milestone but, it ends there 😊
We don’t need to live looking at them day in & out & finally…….. An Individual’s value isn’t based on these trophies
