New highs in the markets, does it bother or doesn’t it?

2000…they said, market was high

2004…they said, market was high

2007…they said, market was high

2010…they said, market recovered too fast and was high

2013…they said, market was high

2015…they said, market was high

2017…they said, market was high

2020… they’re saying, market recovered too fast and is high

Yes, every now and then, the market keeps touching new highs and I keep hearing the same 4 words….

markets are high now

Does this make a difference to my investing? NO NO NO

I invested when the markets were high in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017 & 2020….and I will continue to keep investing and hold (as long as I can)

But I also continued to invest or held onto what I invested when the markets went lower in 2008/09, 2011, 2013 (end), 2016 beginning & 2020 (March)

I think less about the variables impacting the markets & more about the variables impacting my life

Maybe that’s the reason, I’m not bothered more about whether US and China are going to have a trade war or a real war, Brexit is happening or not; and whether the Pandemic is ever going to leave us ?

No euphoria when the markets go up

No dismay when the markets go down

But Yes….. TIME IN THE MARKET, COUNTS WELL? everything else evens out
